Developing collaborative working through teaching

Interprofessional education for health professionals and multi-agency working has been moving up the political and professional agenda. Currently, Student Selected Components (SSCs) are not an integral part of the nursing curriculum. This article evaluates the Doctor and Nurse as Teacher SSC offered by the School of Medicine in conjunction with the School of Nursing in a University in Scotland, and aims to help inform whether SSCs should be included in the new nursing curriculum.
