N2 - <p>Ubiquitin is known to accumulate at the sites of DNA damage. The identification of a new ubiquitin ligase, RIDDLIN, provides evidence for a ubiquitin-signalling cascade that regulates the assembly of an important DNA repair complex at a DNA double-strand break.</p>
