This Technical Cooperation project was aimed at creating a sustainability matrix for mining policy in Argentina. The matrix identifies key recommendations to strengthening cross-sectoral institutions, environmental and socio-economic governance based on human rights and sustainability principles, and considering core international initiatives and relevant comparative experience.
The recommendations are based on the findings of thirty research outputs composed of reports, datasets of legislation and policy documents at national and provincial levels, as well as of international commitments, and graphics synthesising information.
The outputs were produced by eight distinguished national and local researchers and reviewed and discussed with public officers. The project methodology was designed by Drs Bastida and Murguia in cooperation with a senior IADB officer, working in close collaboration with public officers. The final outputs are currently been reviewed for publication in 2022.
