The event aimed:
To discuss Community-based participatory research as methodology to foster health equity and community development

Objectives:
This webinar will be divided in two parts. In the first part Andrea Rodriguez will present the principles and definition of Community-based Participatory Research (CBPR) for health equity; in the second part Prof. Lisa Gibbs will present the ‘Teeth Tales’ project a practical model for child oral health promotion for culturally diverse communities in Australia.
Attendees will gain greater awareness and understanding of:
- Principles and definitions of community-based participatory research
- The use of this methodology to promote oral health/health of vulnerable and stigmatised groups and communities
- Cultural competence in service delivery to improve service access
