Description

Awarded a £5,000 grant by the Scottish Society of Physicians to undertake a national Scottish survey which primarily aims to quantify awareness of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease among people living with type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and no major risk factors. Secondary outcomes include: quantifying and comparing levels of understanding of diagnosis, disease progression, and treatment, across the three cohorts; exploring demographic & clinical factors correlated with awareness of MASLD; and exploring which demographic and/or clinical factors impact upon the likelihood of being aware of MASLD.
