Description

Rohan Slaughter was invited to present at a policy development day for senior DfE civil servants on the positive impact of a high quality assistive technology service on students. This invitation was extended by Annie Maciver, head of the EdTech unit, which is responsible for Assistive Technology policy at the Department for Education.
Rohan included a summary of current work, inclusive of challenges and possible solutions to Assistive Technology requirements in schools and colleges. Rohan also provided an overview of current research priorities that can support evidence based policymaking in Assistive Technology and allied areas.
