This short film demonstrates the impact of terminal illness with patients and their family. It shows how healthcare professional must be mindful about the process and deliver the news with care and compassion. One method to deliver such news is with SPIKE method.
The film also shows the family dynamic in Thai society where collectivism is dominant and might override patients' autonomy in relation to their end of life wishes. As a result, it is healthcare professionals' tasks to balance patients' individualistic wishes and their familial needs.
