Description

Black and Minority Ethnic Carers (MECOPP) (no:SC029700) and the School of Health Sciences at the University of Dundee held a knowledge exchange event in which to celebrate the Gypsy/Traveller Community Health Worker service in Scotland.
At the event, the Community Health Worker service evaluation report, two infographics showing the impact of the service on Gypsy/Travellers' healthy and well-being and a co-created animation developed by the Gypsy/Traveller community were launched.
The event opened with a recorded address from Minister Jennie Minto, and included presentations by University of Dundee, MECOPP, the Community Health Workers and members of the Gypsy/Traveller community. Roundtable discussions raised awareness of recommendations for change and created pathways for impact based on the recommendations and community and stakeholders’ knowledge.
