    Kovats was one of three co-conveners for a Drawing Symposium for the National Maritime Museum Greenwich, in collaboration with Professor Anita Taylor and Chloe Briggs, to launch their three-month Drawing SEAson, timed with the Van De Velde Exhibition.

    The Symposium was a piece of creative research that proposed a methodology of active engagement through drawing to explore the orders of knowledge represented by a historical collection. The Symposium was one of several other outputs at RMG that they were invited to lead or collaborate on.

    Kovats co-curated public facing events for World Ocean Day, June 2023, at the Maritime Museum Greenwich. This included a screening of her film work COTIDAL on World Ocean Day. Kovats also delivered an experimental Drawing and Meditation workshop, a Drawing Breath session, for teachers at the RGM in May 2023.

    The Symposium consisted of: 7 specialist talks with artists and curators responding and relating to themes within the collection, 7 break out activities supporting visitors to use drawing as a tool of investigation within the collection, a drawing performance showcasing drawing as a form of expression, communication and interaction; A cross-generational conversation about the importance of drawing between artists, visitors and the Saturday Youth Art club; A presentation/ performance by Royal Museums Greenwich Special Educational Needs adult group the Sensory Social Club; A guide book with prompts for drawing within the galleries. Number of Attendees, 97 Attendees in the Lecture theatre,147 Tickets booked, 51 online attendees, Steady stream of viewers watching the streamed event in poles apart gallery.185 people in the Queens House for the drawing performance by Mlohrum.
