Description

Dr Irena Connon undertook research that compared international models of social care, focusing on funding, sustainability and sustainability. The research compared social care provision and funding in Australia, the United States, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, Alaska, the Nordic (Scandinavian) Countries (Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway), EU Countries (The Netherlands, Germany, and France) and UK Countries (Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales, and England). The purpose of the research was to inform Members of the Scottish Parliament for scrutiny of the National Care Service (Scotland) Bill. The research has been published in a peer-reviewed literature review report and summary document and the findings of the research were presented to members of the Scottish Parliament Health, Social Care and Sport Committee on the 25th of October 2022. The Herald and the Times reported on this research.
