Description

Research science across many fields is suffering from a “reproducibility crisis”. Published results are found to be impossible to reproduce or the observed effect is substantially smaller upon replication than originally reported. Often the issues arise from inadequate reporting and sharing of project methodology, code and data. It is hard to believe that Forensic Science is immune to this issue. In this workshop we will explore computational tools and online resources available to facilitate Forensic Scientists to enhance the reproducibility of their research. We will cover data deposition and discovery, robustness of software code through testing, containerisation and cloud computing, and open science in general.
