Description
The School of Arts & Cultures at Newcastle University will be hosting a public discussion on the place of creative practice in research culture. In an increasingly diversified and cross-disciplinary cultural environment, artists situated within higher education research face exponentially broader challenges with regard to how their professional, freelance work relates to institutional research imperatives.
The event is organised by Dr Will Edmondes. The conversation is led by Prof Julie Sanders (Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Newcastle University) and the panel will include Professor Steven Hill (Research England), artist-researchers Dr Mariam Rezaei (Newcastle) and Dr Johanna Linsley (University of Dundee), and Fielding Hope (Programmer, Cafe Oto and Counterflows)
