Description

This workshop was a part of Creative Dundee's CULTIVATE programme, which pairs up creative practitioners with members of targeted audience groups. Together, they discuss climate change and create an artistic response to it.

Thanks to the Wellcome Centre's links to Creative Dundee, we were able to respond to their request for both a space and materials directly linked to climate change - plastics. Working with our MRC Sustainability Officer, the creative practictioner, Vinishree, devised a workshop for her group of women from immigrant backgrounds. Together, we discussed science, climate change, and art, and the participants created pieces for an exhibition which followed at Dundee Contemporary Arts a few weeks later.
