Data Curation for Laboratory Data Across Scottish Health Boards: bring Regional Available Data to A National Level Dataset

Activity: Talk or presentation typesInvited talk

Description

For the first time, we gain access to all four regional Safe Haven laboratory data. We standardised the Scottish NHS laboratory data for sharing and analysis. In this study, we gained access to laboratory data from all four Scottish regional Safe Havens (78M records in total). Considerations are given to the clinical tests that are commonly used across Scotland. Data heterogeneity investigation and statistical considerations of each test on value density distribution were conducted. Demography-group specific value plot was used to assess the inferential equivalence of the complex constructs of laboratory data from each region. Hospitalisation, prescribing and death register is available in a national level in Scotland.
