    Dr Fernando Fernandes presented at a seminar on Public Security: experiences in Brazil and in the UK. It brought together leading public security experts, policy makers, researchers and activists from the UK and Brazil. Dr Fernandes talked about the criminalisation of poverty in Brazil and in the UK, and explored the role of civil society organisations in the fight for public security with a human rights approach.
