The aim of the Discover Business Day event was to introduce S4 & S5 pupils from schools across Scotland to Business Management and Entrepreneurial activity in the context of new product and service innovations. Tim Brown (Co-Chair of the Design and Innovation Consultancy IDEO) suggests that “Design Thinking is a process, applicable to all walks of life, of creating new and innovative ideas and solving problems.” The 59 Minute Design Challenge (59MDC) workshop was a super-fast introduction to Design Thinking methods & mindsets for collaborative creativity.
