Description

Conversations about data management with Dr Alice Watterson and Philippa Sterlini. For researchers at the University of Dundee.
About this event
Come and join us at the second University of Dundee Data Conversation where we will be discussing Research Data Management issues with Dr Alice Watterson.

Alice Watterson is an archaeologist and digital artist based at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, University of Dundee, where she currently works as a lecturer and researcher with the 3DVisLab. Her practice-based research explores the use of archaeological visualisation and digital media as an interpretive tool for public engagement and outreach.

This will be an informal virtual get together where you are invited to sit in on a conversation between Dr Watterson and our interviewer and Research Support Officer, Philippa Sterlini. She will be asking her questions about her data management processes, concentrating on the issues raised by working with indigenous communities and respecting cultural sensitivities, collecting and managing data in the field and preparing data for publication. There will also be time for informal discussion. Please join us and bring your data management questions to the research community at Dundee. This is a great opportunity to meet with and hear from researchers from different disciplines, at different career stages.

The discussions will be recorded then summarised on LLC Research and Resources and the Doctoral Academy blog.

Who should attend Data Conversations?

We would like UoD Data Conversations to bring together researchers and research support staff from all disciplines. Postgraduate researchers are welcome as well as supervisors, early career and experienced researchers.
