Over 100 researchers, People with Parkinson’s, and carers came together at this free event in the Faculty of Life Sciences at the University of Dundee to discuss the latest Parkinson’s research, share personal Parkinson’s experiences, tour different labs and facilities, and find a shared sense of community over lunch and refreshments.
Speakers included:
- Professor Dario Alessi, Director of the MRC PPU
- Professor Oliver Bandmann, visiting from the University of Sheffield
- Rory Cellan-Jones, from the Movers and Shakers podcast
- Miller Caldwell, a person with Parkinson’s, musician and writer
- Mel McGill, the UK’s first Parkinson’s nurse with a special interest in mental health, NHS Tayside
