Description

Speaker Shalini is a lecturer in the School of Medicine with double masters- first in Pharmacology and second in Medical Education. As a Pharmacologist she had always perceived research as grounded in numbers (odds ratio, confidence interval, p-values, etc). As she entered medical education research much later, she was challenged by a set of new concepts regarding qualitative research. It is amusing how her understanding of research evolved and enhanced as she not only started to accept "words" as data but also grew passionate about conducting naturalistic research.
