Description

Despite our accumulated interpretations of the past, our vast scientific knowledge and our deep intuitions, we continue journeying along an unchanging trajectory which may lead us towards potential disaster. It is now increasingly important for organisations to address their social and environmental impact of their innovations. Innovators and new business start-ups need a new vision and a powerful guiding narrative to collectively change their direction and to adopt new behaviours. These behaviours should be led by innovative enterprises where, collaborative, co-evolutionary strategies actively work in harmony with the rest of the living planet.

The aim of the workshop was twofold: (1) to identify the challenges which entrepreneurs face in creating an ecological enterprise; and (2) to determine new behaviours that can be applied to the business start-up process. We are hoping to conclude with a set of recommendations for the exploration of an ecological enterprise vision, discussing implications for creating healthier and more sustainable organisations that can create positive change.
