Description

Provided a powerpoint presentation outlining key points about OHI, diet, and visiting the dentist. Completed a virtual 24 hour recall diet diary with learners and discussed good/bad elements and areas for potential improvement. Toothbrushing demonstrated using mouth models and learners able to demo back. Comic outlining information about OHI/diet/visiting dentist, read with learners and learners given opportunity to read comic aloud. Learners given copies of comic and oral hygiene aids to take away.
Number of people helped: 27 attendees (17 adults, 10 children, 1 volunteer, 2 staff members). 34 sign ups for DDH free course of treatment (11 paediatric patients and 23 adult patients).
