The thesis is inclusive of a Systematic Review and Large Scale Research Project, focused on the experiences of the Criminal Justice System.

1. Systematic Review - The experiences and perceptions of the criminal justice system as reported by individuals with an intellectual disability and their families: A systematic review and thematic synthesis of the qualitative literature.

2. Large Scale Research Project - Healthcare staff working in prisons: A quantitative investigation of the correlated between self-harm exposure and professional quality of life in those caring for individuals who engage in deliberate self-harm.
