Description
WCAIR PE Manager Ali Floyd was asked by the Heriot Watt Engage team to deliver a talk as part of their SEP-Net series, which brings together people from across the University who are interested in engagement – mostly academics. We decided to focus the session on gamification, running a highly interactive session for the 13 participants. We shared some key examples of game mechanics, as well as the games we have developed in-house and what we have learned from them. These included:
Drug Discovery Snakes and Ladders
Heterocyle dobble
Heal the World
Diagnosis: Kidnapped!
We will continue to work with the HW team – they are very interested in our annual reports, how we get our content on Pure etc, so that may be an area where we can provide leadership and inspiration.
