The Glasgow Science Festival (GSF) Creating Engineers Competition has been running for 17 years, engaging with primary 5&6 pupils across the West of Scotland. Pupils work in teams of two, competing through a series of stages (classroom heat, cluster quarter-final, regional semi-final and grand final) supported by their cluster secondary schools. The classroom heats and cluster quarter-finals run from January-April. We then hold four regional semi-finals which run throughout May in Glasgow, Dumfries & Galloway, Lanarkshire and Ayrshire. The Grand Final takes place in June during the Glasgow Science Festival.
