Description

Greywood Arts Process Residency, Ireland
June – July 2021
During my four week residency I gave a public lecture on jewellery using precious metals from electronic waste, collected e-waste from local residents, exchanged this for 2.4g of gold from an integrated computer circuit with KMK Metals an Irish recycling company. I also generated a series of sample pieces using gold foil and the Japanese traditional metalwork technique Nunome Zogan – which uses gold sparingly. I have also created a video of my work during the residency called Process, Repetition and Time- A Frugal Way of Working with gold (3.54mins).
