Description
The overarching objective of this international peer learning workshop is to identify key lessons on how to establish a more structured connection between higher education, teacher education and schools to advance education forthe digital and green transitions. This will be done by building on the findings included in two analytical reports on Higher education support for effective curriculum development in schools and Higher education support for
teachers and school leaders, developed by the OECD Higher Education Policy Team.
Learning from experiences in Ireland and internationally, the workshop will examine two questions:
• How can higher education support the integration of digital and green competencies in initial teacher education programmes and activities?
• How can science communication contribute to fostering a more continual collaboration between teacher education institutions, higher education and school practitioners?
This event is organised by the OECD Higher Education Policy Team, in collaboration with the European Commission and Ireland’s National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.
