Studio international output - personal observations, inquiries and musing in this sketch book project (a private world) become part of a public, wider share.
Donating the artwork (Alex Roberts' sketchbook), the Brooklyn Art Library digitally archive the 20-page book that is part of the open physical, library access that houses a vast multi-disciplinary collection of worldwide sketchbooks.
Aims, •to challenge, test mark-making and the perimeters of scale/ workings within an evolving book opposed to separate works on paper/ or large stretchers. •learn from open approaches to research, amongst cross-disciplinary environments with the language of drawing as its own identity. Drawing as an identity that transcends all fields. •Find fitting matches to situate and test studio output/ research [specially during pandemic-induced, studio interruptions].
