Description
Peer-reviewed abstract accepted for presentation at IAIA26, an international conference on impact assessment held in Québec City (2026).
This systematic review examines how AI and digital tools influence data quality, integrity, and trustworthiness in Environmental Assessment. Using PRISMA and NVivo-assisted thematic analysis of 63 studies, the review identifies four key application areas, predictive modelling, automated data collection and real-time processing, decision-support systems, and interactive digital platforms. The study highlights both opportunities and risks, emphasising the importance of transparent algorithms, robust verification mechanisms, and secure data infrastructures to ensure credible and reliable environmental assessments.
