Description
The University of Dundee School of Life Sciences’ public engagement team's role is to prepare and support our scientists as they engage with the public about their research in a variety of creative ways. This project aims to provide a series of assets that will introduce viewers to the concept of accessible engagement and provide a ‘best practice’ suite of videos for reference and training.Intended audiences for the videos include:
- Researchers within the School of Life Sciences at Dundee and beyond
- Undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Public engagement staff
Video topics include:
- What do we mean by inclusive and accessible public engagement?
- Word choice, including jargon
- Physical and digital accessibility
- Working with communities
- Representation and workload
