Inclusive & Accessible Public Engagement Animations

Description

The University of Dundee School of Life Sciences’ public engagement team's role is to prepare and support our scientists as they engage with the public about their research in a variety of creative ways. This project aims to provide a series of assets that will introduce viewers to the concept of accessible engagement and provide a ‘best practice’ suite of videos for reference and training.

Intended audiences for the videos include:
- Researchers within the School of Life Sciences at Dundee and beyond 
- Undergraduate and postgraduate students 
- Public engagement staff

Video topics include:
- What do we mean by inclusive and accessible public engagement?  
- Word choice, including jargon  
- Physical and digital accessibility 
- Working with communities  
- Representation and workload
