Description

Interdisciplinary research and public engagement are becoming increasingly important in the modern academic context. Therefore, the Doctoral Academy Forum in partnership with the Doctoral Academy is delighted to invite you to our Interdisciplinary Seminar on Public Engagement for postgraduate researchers at the University of Dundee.

This seminar reflects the efforts within the Doctoral Academy Forum, to create further networking opportunities for postgraduate researchers and new interdisciplinary connections, focusing - on this occasion, public engagement, which is a key part of research and a great skill to develop during your postgraduate research degree.

This event aims to bring together postgraduate researchers involved or interested in public engagement from across all disciplines, to present and hear about engagement projects being conducted across the University. This aims to highlight the many ways public engagement can be conducted, regardless of the research field as well as to inspire PGRs who might be considering getting involved.

It will be an informal space to:

• find out about public engagement activity happening across the University of Dundee

• provide an opportunity to get ideas to start your own public engagement

• offer mutual peer support

• socialise within the wider research community
