Description
Interiors as Expanded Practice contributed to the DJCAD Centre for Ecological Futures community's open research sessions or Phd students, academics, and researchers -alongside Leverhulme Regenr8 PhD researcher Elidh Guthrie. Focusing on my recent making and public engagement research activity, the talk re-imagines the interior as an expanded practice explored through sculpture, installation and drawing to reveal rich conceptual possibilities and new spatial narratives of the interior condition often missed in contemporary design practice and pedagogy. This deliberately informal presentation briefly mapped the origins of Andy's making and drawing linked to his industry experience prior to entering academia to identify key events in past research and his research-led teaching.
