The aim of this panel event is to examine the wide range of international law and human rights issues related to continued detention operations in Guantánamo Bay. Many countries, including the UK, are working through their roles in what is undoubtedly a serious challenge to international law and human rights. The panellists will deliver both legal and policy analysis as well as personal observations from time spent in Guantánamo in order to highlight the impact of state-level decisions on the remaining detainees.
