Description

The Government of Iraq (Federal Iraq) Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the British Council Iraq are convening discussions between university leaders and advisors in both countries to develop greater shared understanding on mutual interests, and pathways towards partnerships to internationalise Iraqi higher education and links with the UK.
The Iraqi delegation will be led by the Deputy Minister for Higher Education and accompanying university presidents and deans.
The agenda and attendance in person is under development now, taking into account UK HEI interests and priorities, and those of the Ministry to co-create the agenda for dialogue.
We have issued an open call to UK HEIs to share their interest in Iraqi higher education engagement, which we will then share with the Ministry, and co-create the agenda for dialogue.
This dialogue is timed to build on the annual Education World Forum (EWF) in London, an invitation event to all ministers of education, higher education and skills.
