The 6th LRCFS Annual LectureThis year we welcome Linzi Wilson-Wilde OAM, Director of Forensic Science South Australia, who discussed how we can influence the next generation of forensic scientists to develop into empowered and responsible leaders of the justice system.

Professor Linzi Wilson-Wilde OAM obtained her PhD at the University of Canberra in species identification of Diprotodontia for wildlife crime investigations and holds adjunct academic status as Professor of Forensic Science at Flinders University.
Professor Wilson-Wade has over 25 years’ experience in forensic science working for Victoria Police, New South Wales Police, Australian Federal Police and her last position was as Director of the National Institute of Forensic Science.
During her career, Professor Wilson-Wade has worked on legislative reform, policy development, the investigation of high-profile murder cases, cold case reviews and a mass DNA screen. Professor Wilson-Wade also coordinated the DNA analysis for the disaster victim identification and criminal investigation of the Bali Bombing in October 2002. For her services, Professor Wilson-Wade was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2003.
