Dr Dumiso Moyo and Dr Vincent Onyango shared their lived personal experiences as African black academics in higher education. Dumiso and Vincent will reflect on the different stages in their careers from postgraduate student to Lecturer.

Dr Dumiso Moyo has been at the University of Dundee for around twenty years, including four years as a PhD student. He is currently a Lecturer and the Academic Lead for Urban Planning in Architecture and Urban Planning, School of Social Sciences. He has experience in teaching at two Scottish Universities.

Dr Vincent Onyango has been at the University of Dundee for eight years, having worked in other Universities previously. He is the Degree Programme Director for the Environmental Sustainability degree programme in the School of Social Sciences, and has also been involved in several research projects.
