The Library of Innerpeffray - Year of Stories 2022
Saturday 6th August - 11am – 12pm
The School Room (5 – 11years)

Inspired by Lost for Words (Macmillan 2014), this literary event aimed to encourage children to explore the practice of writing short stories. The event provided an opportunity for children to discuss the hurdles encountered whilst writing. Words were selected from the story, such as – sunshine, disaster, rain, sign etc for children to use as writing prompts to inspire short stories.

A range of Scottish animal portraits (mouse, fox, hare, otter, owl etc) decorated the libraries’ adventure trail which provided inspiration for the design of story characters.
