Description
This public engagement activity was part of a series of youth consultations carried out under the knowledge exchange programme on youth homelessness 'Helping young people fell at home in Scotland.The aim of this activity was to map the young people's needs and aspirations through different stages of homelessness and how the services available are meeting these needs.
Methodology: researchers, twelve young people and two youth workers attended the session. The group had a 'pizza night' prior the activity as a way to build trust followed by an workshop session on youth homelessness trajectory and service
provision.
Outcomes: the activity encouraged young people's critical reflection, improved communication skills; raised their concerns on service provision and professional practices and increased understanding on young people's needs.
