Description
Dundee Science Centre created the Home Learning Programme on their website to support home learning.Each week (Monday to Friday) has a new theme and they invite participants to complete the activities in order or to jump in and out as they please. There are hands on activities that are easy to complete at home with no complicated equipment required and straightforward easy to follow instructions.
Members of the School of Life Sciences created content for a week about microbes for the programme. There is a range of fun activities including a scavenger hunt, yeast races, creative challenges and games, children will discover a variety of microbes, from harmful to helpful, how they work and what they do. Topics covered research that takes place in the Division of Molecular Microbiology and the Wellcome Centre for Anti-Infectives Research.
