Natspec national conference 2022

After two years online, the Natspec National Conference is back! Join us at Jurys Inn, Hinckley Island, Leicestershire on 21 and 22 June 2022 for the largest national event for Further Education SEND specialists.

The conference will focus on the power of collaboration. Just as colleges achieve the best outcomes for young people with SEND when they take an inter-disciplinary approach, bringing professionals together raises the standards of high needs provision in FE.

Coming together in person will give you the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues as well as attend keynote sessions, workshops and facilitated discussions. The conference will focus on working in partnership and sharing expertise to improve outcomes for high needs funded learners.

The programme includes sessions on how the landscape will be affected by changes resulting from the government’s SEND review, and the place of specialist FE within the wider education context. Delegates will hear about the partnership projects taking place between mainstream GFE and specialist colleges, and have the opportunity to join separate networking groups to discuss provision for different cohorts of learners. There are also 14 workshops to choose from.
