Description

The Scottish Society for Art History, in conjunction with Edinburgh Printmakers, The National Galleries of Scotland and The University of St Andrews, is proud to present Printmaking in Scotland, a two-day symposium exploring printmaking in Scotland from the eighteenth-century to the present day.

The main purpose of the symposium is to share current research and scholarship on printmaking in Scotland. The first day of this two-day event will be held at Edinburgh Printmakers on Friday 3rd February. There will be presentations, studio tours, practical printmaking demonstrations, artist talks, and a breakout session for speakers and delegates.

The symposium's second day will take place on Saturday 4th February at the Scottish National Gallery. A range of multi-disciplinary papers will be presented by a variety of different speakers, from academics and independent researchers, to curators and archivists, and practising contemporary artists.
