Research & Evidence: Shaping Recovery Knowledge Together

Activity: Other activity typesPublic engagement and outreach - public lecture/debate/seminar

Description

Recovery is complex and deeply personal, and it cannot be fully understood through academic work alone. The aim of this workshop is to bring together researchers, practitioners, and individuals with lived and living experience to ask, “how can recovery research better serve those most affected” and “how do we keep it grounded in communities’ equity and action”.  Academics from Stirling and Dundee University will briefly share examples of their research, then collectively discuss: what makes research useful? what gets in the way? and how can we build stronger links between research, practice, and lived experience to ensure research supports real change in people's lives?  The workshop will provide a space to think collectively, question assumptions, and begin building a shared, action-focused agenda for recovery research.
