Description

About this event

This event will discuss the green economy in Scotland, to identify current and future research needs that can inform policy development and identify gaps.

ClimateXChange, Scotland’s centre of expertise on climate change, delivers research evidence for the Scottish Government.

In this horizon scanning event, we will ask researchers to discuss questions exploring:

The key research priorities for driving forward a green economy and climate action
The challenges and threats to implementing innovative methods in the green economy and climate action space
The role of science in policy and how to integrate the use of evidence in policy processes
The event will also be an opportunity to learn about how to get involved in informing policymaking through ClimateXChange, and to network with other researchers.

The workshop is in-person at the Edinburgh Climate Change Institute, with an option for online attendance. Numbers are limited.

Who is the audience for the event?

The workshop is targetted at researchers who can contribute to a discussion about research needs that can inform policy development and identify gaps, related to the Scottish green economy. Early career researchers (PhD and postdocs) are welcome.
