Description
We shared our experience of creating digital game-based learning apps designed to support students to learn about resilience. Factors explored include coping with stress, time management, gaining perspective, empathy, and social connection. Participants are encouraged to consider how these skills can be applied in their daily lives to support them during and beyond their programmes of study. Our game designs adopt a narrative that includes a role-playing adventure metaphor based on a captain and his team taking a hot air balloon ride across an imaginary island. Co-creation is a valuable part of this project, bringing together staff and student participation in the design and development of the game.
