Launch Event for AHRC funded project REWIND Yugoslavia.
REWIND Yugoslavia is researching the history of Yugoslav video art from 1969-1991.
We outlined the scope and methodology of our project, discussing how this latest iteration of REWIND Artists’ Video relates to the previous projects; the extent of the research being carried out in Bosnia-Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia, and a presentation of fieldwork and findings to date.
Presentations by each of the team - Jon Blackwood, Laura Leuzzi, Adam Lockhart and Maja Zećo - were augmented by the screening of some video pieces that fit into our 1969-1991 timeframe. Followed by a Q&A.
REWIND Yugoslavia is a collaboration between Gray’s School of Art at RGU and DJCAD at the University of Dundee.
