‘SHIFT’ is a dynamic one-day event dedicated to exploring the intersections of health, the green transition, and creative practice. Hosted by researchers at Design HOPES, part of the Future Observatory, SHIFT offers a platform for engaging with like-minded creatives through interactive discussions, hands-on workshops, and thought-provoking presentations. We aim to SHIFT the format of traditional conference presentations, placing artefacts at the heart of the discussion, accompanied by paper proceedings. Together, we will delve into the complex connections between health, place, and practice—key elements central to crafting a liveable future amidst the challenges of climate change and the green transition.
