Description
Through the SSERC Research Placement scheme, a secondary school pupil participated in a two-week placement in the Centre for Targeted Protein Degradation (CeTPD).
The first week was spent at Strathclyde University under the supervision of Kirsten McAulay to do some computational chemistry work, looking at druggability analysis and drug design. The second week was spent in the biology lab within CeTPD, with Elisha McCrory, analysing protein expression in different cell lines.
