Dr. Ruth Riley will provide an overview of her recently funded Wellcome Discovery Award project titled: ‘Suffering with suicide’: Revisioning distress and nurse suicidality through a feminist, critical suicidology lens.She will talk about the value and importance of using a critical suicidology and feminist approach to revise our understanding of contexts contributing to distress and suicidality within the nursing population. This will also have relevance to other healthcare professionals. She will invite audiences’ views on the topic and ideas for how we can reform suicide prevention research and policies.
