This year's Mapstone Lecture was given by Leonie Bell on Thursday 27th March. Leonie is an Honorary Professor of Design at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, University of Dundee, and Director of the V&A Dundee.

Leonie's presentation shared her personal and professional leadership journey, drawing on ideas around what good leadership can be, considering civic, creative, cultural and feminist models of values-driven leadership. She spoke movingly about her own experiences and her lifelong connections to Dundee. She also spoke about the story of the V&A Dundee including its pivotal role in a city transforming, and its evolution as a world class design museum, developing love and loyalty locally and contributing to the city’s civic, cultural, economic and social growth.
