Everyone is welcome to this free event at the University of Dundee.

The University of Dundee’s Founders Report was commissioned to explore the institution’s origins as University College Dundee and the connections that its founders and early benefactors had to Transatlantic slavery and colonialism. In this special event for Race Equality Week, we’ll hear from a variety of speakers about the results of the project and related historical research into Dundee’s multicultural history. We’ll also discover how this work contributes to the University’s Race Equality action plan.

During this event we will launch the Summary of the Report on Microsoft Sway. which helps make the results accessible for research and teaching. This event willstimulate discussion on next steps.

Speakers include Dr Cassandra Gooptar, Caroline Brown, Dr Andrea Mohan, Matthew Jarron, Dr Susan P Mains, Dr Michael Morris, and Johanna Steele.
